For the Kids is built around data minimization and your safety. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no analytics, advertising, or tracking, and does not send your information to us or any third party. In this version there is no server that receives your data.

Where your information lives

On your device. The custody schedule, messages, expenses, photos, documents, and child information you enter are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad.

Device features we use - on your device

• Photos you choose to attach, via Apple's system photo picker.
• On-device text recognition to read a receipt's total (Apple Vision). The image is processed on your device and is not uploaded.
• On-device tone check (Apple's Natural Language) to optionally flag if a message you're writing might read as heated. It runs entirely on your device; your draft is never sent anywhere.
• Calendar: with your permission, the app adds custody events to a calendar it creates. It never reads your other calendars.
• Face ID / passcode to optionally lock the app.

No location

The app never collects or shares your location.

Sharing

You can export your record to share it yourself - for example, with a mediator or attorney. Nothing is shared unless you choose to share it.

Children

The app is used by parents to coordinate about their children; it is not directed to children as users.

Changes to this policy

If a future version adds device-to-device sync (so two parents share the same record), this policy will be updated to describe how that works before the feature ships. Syncing is planned to run through each user's own private Apple iCloud.
